Why does Feil & Co*. collect personal information about its clients?

 

            FEIL & CO.* will collect, use or disclose personal information only to provide professional services to you. Each engagement letter includes an explanation of why we require information, what use will be made of it and with whom it may be shared in order to provide our professional services.

 

Your personal information may be disclosed internally and with other contracted professionals for the purpose of determining compliance with applicable professional standards, FEIL & CO.* internal policies, or in the performance of quality reviews. Personal Information may also be shared internally in order to allow us to offer services or products that may be of interest to you.

Feil & Co.* protects your personal information against such risks as loss or theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use, modification or destruction, through appropriate security measures, regardless of the format in which it is held.  Feil & Co.’s* employees follow procedures to protect and safeguard your personal information.

 

As a Feil & Co.* client, can I place restrictions on the collection, use and disclosure of my personal information?

How is personal information defined under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (Canada)?

 

Personal information is defined as any information about an identifiable individual, but does not include the name, title, business address or telephone number of an employee of an organization.

 

Why has Feil & Co.* made available The Feil & Co.* Privacy Protection Pledge?

 

Feil & Co.* wants you to understand the purposes for which we collect, use and disclose personal information about our clients. Furthermore, we want to be sure that we have your consent to continue to collect, use and disclose your personal information for those purposes outlined in The Feil & Co.* Privacy Protection Pledge.  Finally, we have also developed The Feil & Co.* Privacy Code to more fully explain our personal information management practices and to respect the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (Canada).
